Sergipe

Located among the states of Alagoas (north) and Bahia (south and west), its territory embraces an area of 21.863 sq kilometers divided into 75 cities and 13 micron regions. 

Sergipe’s coast, with its 173 km of extension, offers beautiful beaches with dunes, lagoons and gardens of coconuts palms. The most visited beaches are Caueira, Abaís and Saco. In the Saco beach, after crossing the Piquitinga and Real rivers, we arrive at the famous Mangue Seco beach, known as Costa das Dunas. To the north, boarding Aracaju, there is the Costa dos Manguezais, a swampland with a great diversity of  flora and fauna as alligators, monkeys, capybaras and different species of birds. 

Sergipe is represented by the cities of São Cristovão and Laranjeiras, both considered Historical Heritages. Laranjeiras is the fourth oldest city in Brazil and has got a collection of art crafts and monuments of the XVII and XVIII centuries. It  has got one of the most diversified groups of sacred art of the Country. It is the city that most preserves the folklore in the state, becoming already one of the last folklorical points in Brazil.

The capital Aracaju receives its tourists with natural beauties, and a good infrastructure with bars and restaurants in the seaside. 

The technological park, in building process, will benefit the state with the employment generation and improve the population’s life style. It will also accelerate the competitive insert of Sergipe in the global economy in the scientific and technological sectors providing the bornment of innovative enterprises and other important benefits for the society and for futures investors.
