Tambaba Beach - Paraíba has been chosen to host, in August 2008, the 3Ist Internatonal Congress of Naturism, the first one to be hosted in the southern hemisphere, bringing Tambaba beach, in Conde, into the naturism history.
The choice of Tambaba as a place to host this important meeting happened in August 2006, in the spanish city of Cartagena. The challenge was between Brazil ano Italy, whereby Tambaba Beach won the contest by I37 votes against 99.
The mayor of Conde, Aluisio Regis, himselt conducted the challenge defending the position of the importance of the event to the flourishing Brazilian tourism market. The details of this congress includes the introduction of direct flights for European participants, who will see the potential of Tambaba beach, and this will help push the development of naturism as a globalized practice.
